- Fabian Soler Added 2017-10-06★ ★ ★ ★ ★Hotel De La Marine in the Fortress of Louisbourg offers flavourful meals served on period plates and cutlery. Made from simple ingredients, like those available in the 18th century, the meals they serve today are hot and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the pea soup, the beef stew and the Fortress Rum cake.
The servers, dressed in period clothing, were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area's history - which nicely rounded out the whole visit to this Parks Canada historical site.
